ABOUT ME

Houston, Tx, United States
Hi. Welcome to my site; my name is Karen. I'm an avid scrap-booker, card-maker, and paper-crafter. I have been scrapbooking for about 12 years and I am just as excited now as when I first started. Scrapbooking is the instrument I use to record some of the greatest and most special moments of my family’s life. I love buying patterned paper, ribbon and embellishments, taking pictures of my son, teaching scrapbooking and hosting workshops. This hobby continues to be an obsession for me and it continues to challenge me to be a better scrapper. I love the escape that scrapbooking affords me and the fun it has brought into my world. I have one child, a son; he's 15 years old and he is my favorite scrapbook subject. I hope that you enjoyed my site and will visit again soon.

Have A Wonderful Birthday

I'm having a wonderful time tonight; snacks, a couple of bottles of water and time to just whip out cards. Boy, am I taking advantage of the time. I had a few other cards to make, but wanted to share this one with you.

Just Thinking of You

I wanted to send a special card to a girlfriend, to let her know that she's on my mind. Lately I've been so busy preparing for the holidays that I haven't made the time to stop, pick-up the phone and call her, so I decided tonight that I'd make her card and drop it in the mail. Now, to get it in the mail timely; hmmmm.

My Christmas Card

I have been playing around with making Christmas cards and having a hard time. I wanted to keep it simple this year and also to use one of the many embossing folders that I've been collecting and hoarding, so this is what I came up with. I pulled an all-nighter last night, so that I could get them in the mail today. Whew, glad that's done, now on to some rest and then another night of card-making.
Thanks for stopping by,
Enjoy

Christmas Blessing

I'm working on a design for my Christmas cards, so, while playing around last night, I made this card. I used one of the Martha Stewart deep border, border punches - my new favorite thing. The sentiment pieces were cut from the Mini Monogram Cricut cartridge and the paper was from my stash. I added a little Tim Holtz Distressing Ink, Antique Linen, to the top piece after typing my sentiment; then added some bling.
Enjoy and TFSB,
Karen
