I'm playing catch up with my posting. I tried to remember to always take puctures, but don't always get around to posting them timely. Today was a rainy and cold Saturday, so I spent the whole day in my craft room, with snacks, great movies on the Hallmark channel and paper, ribbon & flowers. I used this day to create the cards I needed for the month of March. WOW, it was like a marathon, but I finished. What a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!
Hi there my blogging community. I've been busy, but found some time to work on my January birthday cards; the issue has been finding the time to upload the pictures. I hope to do better. In the meantime, here are pictures of my cards. The flowers on these cards were made using the Flower Shoppe and Sophie Cricut cartridges.
I had such a good time playing with the flowers,layering, distressing and blinging them up.

Happy New Year!!!! It's been a while since I've posted, but not because I haven't been crafting; though, not as much as I'd like to. Anyway, here are a couple of my latest projects. I'm trying to get ready for all the January birthdays, so I've got 4 more birthday cards to make in the next week. The Christmas tags were made to be attached to some lightbulbs I found at Hobby Lobby. I filled them with small candy pieces. They made great Christmas trinkets.

September is a big birthday month for me, in addition to me and my twin brother turning 50, one of the older ladies at my church, whom I love dearly, is celebrating her 78th birthday. I didn't want to miss the opportunity to remember her on her special day.

Hi there; wow, it's been a few weeks since I've posted. Life has been busy, but I have to make time to scrap. I had a quiet Saturday afternoon before Grandparents' Day, so I grabbed a Dr. Pepper, some snacks and headed to my craft room to design a card for my parents from my son.

This week, the inspiration over at The Cutting Cafe came in the way of gumballs and gumball machines from the Gumball Machine Shaped Card digital stamp set. This set was so fun to play with; who doesn't love gumballs? I decided to emboss the gumballs, to add more dimension to the gumball machine and of course a little pink decorative time, bling and a cute flower.

I was playing with the "Fun With Silhouettes" digital stamp set from The Cutting Cafe and decided to make a wall hanging, using the dress silhouette. I cut the dress in black for a shadow effect, then cut it again in a pink and white pattern. Then, I cut a pink postage stamp from pink card stock, then I embossed it with a CuttleBug folder. The gray piece behind the pink is a piece of Grungeboard, that I painted with Black Magic Glimmer Mist and layered over a piece of black cardstock. I added a quick sentiment and of course ribbon to finish up the design.

WOW, I can believe the summer's coming to an end already. Seems school was just letting out for the summer, now it's time for back-to-school shopping already. It's also a great time for making cards to send with your students as they prepare to go back to the class room or prepare for campus life, at college. I made this Off-to-College card for my godchild, who's headed away to college, for her freshman year; where did the time go. For this card, I used the Off To College digital stamp set from The Cutting Cafe. I was having so much fun, that I decided to make a matching envelope. The fabulous flowers were cut from the Paper Lace Cricut cartridge and of course, my Martha Stewart border punches were near by for the scallops.

I've been wanting to make a wall hanging with positive affirmations to hang on my wall and I've also been collecting chipboard books from Maya Road. Well, I bought another one while at CKC-Houston a couple of weeks ago and decided the wait had been long enough. I started with my glimmer mist paints and painted the chipboard, then I covered it with beautiful black and white pattern papers, each in a different design. I used the You Color My World Sentiments set from The Cutting Cafe for the affirmations, then cut sentiment shapes from the Cricut Lacy Labels cartridges for each sentiment. This was such a fun project; all the ribbons and bling. It's going to be perfect on my wall.

I've been playing around with an all white card for a while now, but each time, I end of adding a little color to it, either with paint, glimmer mist or dimensional pearls. Well, not this time. I'm so proud of me. I embossed one layer of the card, then used pop dots to add some dimension to it. The butterflies were cut with my Cricut Expression and the Paper Lace cartridge. I added a little bling to the butterflies, but clear; still no color. I used a fabulous stamp set, Birthday Greetings Inside and Out 1 from the Cutting Cafe . I love this set because I do a lot of birthday cards and can't always think of something to say on the inside of the card; this set takes the guess work away.

Ready to play dress-up? Try this adorable dress shaped card from the Cutting Cafe. I had the pleasure of babysitting my niece and nephew this weekend; my little niece always wears the cutest dresses. Not that those dresses make a difference to her. She's generally crawling under a table in it or writing on it with a crayon. Maybe this will be one she doesn't draw on.

I wanted to make a masculine birthday card for a friend and I always struggle with colors and embellishments for male cards. I reached into my stash and pulled out these great brown and beige tone papers; maybe a little boring, but I love these colors. I paired the papers with a great background stamp from the Cutting Cafe's Bingo Month Card Set and dark colored accessories. Ummm, mission accomplished.

I've really enjoyed making graduation cards this year, for the graduating seniors at my church. Here's one that I made for one of the young ladies I've watched grow-up. I found this great Mind's Eye paper on sale at Hobby Lobby and thought the subdued colors would make great graduation cards.

Father's Day, what a wonderful time to let your dad know how much he is loved and appreciated. I have an amazing dad; we're very close and I take every opportunity to tell him and show him just how much I love and appreciate all that he means to me. So as I was looking through some of the digital stamps from the Cutting Cafe, I saw this set, Dad I Love You Text, and knew it would be perfect for the masculine card I wanted to create. I paired it with the great black and white striped paper I purchased over the weekend at Archiver's. I pop-dotted the layer right under the sentiment, to add some dimension, then added ribbon, because it's one of my favorite embellishments. I told myself that I wouldn't put ribbon on this card, but my hands went on auto-pilot to one of the ribbon drawers; what can I say?
