Okay, so have you ever had a sheet of pattern paper that you just love, but can't figure out what to do with it? Well, this card was made from a sheet of paper like that. I worked on this card a few minutes every night for about 5 nights; this is the final version. I took the entire sheet of each piece of cardstock and pattern paper to come up with this and lots of re-dos; but hey, the re-do's don't count, only the final project; at least here at Karen Kreative Treasures. I'm glad I kept playing with it, I like the way it turned out and the stamp could not have been more perfect.
I have to tell you how much I love this pattern paper. I picked it up each time I went in to my LSS, but I couldn't figure out what would work with it, until I looked at the two-tone ribbons. This ribbon matches the cardstock and pattern paper perfectly, so you know I couldn't leave it in the store. That's right, I had to have it and with scallops of course. Summer is almost here ya'll and what better way to bring it in, then with beautiful summer colors. Orange and yellow together are one of my favorite summer combinations. The yellow pattern paper is actually textured, the circles are felt; super cool to play with and of course I had to work the scallops in there.
I was up late one night and I had a smile in my heart and thought I'd express it through a card, with scallops, flowers and ribbon of course. When I finished, I thought "boy that was fun and very satisfying. I hope that you enjoy it, because I enjoyed the time I spent creating it.
When I saw this stamp, it warmed my heart. I started thinking, I've got to make a card with this stamp. Gratitude is certainly an action work. I am grateful for so many things and I'm putting it into action because I want the people that I'm grateful for to know it. I want to make sure that they know I love them, that I appreciate them and that I cherish the friendship.
Laughs and giggles, who can't use more of that? Laughing always makes me feel good. Laughing cures what ails you, at least for a little while. Go ahead, try it. When I saw this plaid sheet of paper, the ideas started flowing. I love Scottish Plaid, weird huh, but I do. I like the way the card turned out.
